EDINBURG, Texas -- The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs baseball team (28-18, 15-10 Great West Conference) and Houston Baptist University Huskies (22-30, 13-12 GWC) play a doubleheader on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.

Game one is scheduled to last seven innings while game two is slated to go the full nine.

Gates open at 12:00.

  • With one win today, the Broncs can assure themselves of finishing either the second or third seed in the Great West Conference Tournament. If the Broncs win both games and Utah Valley sweeps Northern Colorado, the Broncs will cinch the number two seed.

  • The Broncs shutout their opponent for the fifth time this season, and first time since May 5, beating the Huskies 4-0.
  • Jonathan Sa pitched a complete game two-hit shutout, going a career-high nine innings and striking out a career-high 12 batters. It was Sa's fourth-straight conference complete game and second shutout in three starts. Sa retired the first 13 batters he faced and didn't allow a hit until the sixth inning.
