CHICAGO, Ill. –The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis won their third straight match as they defeated the Chicago State Cougars 6-1 on Saturday at the H-R Racquet Club.

The Broncs (4-3) took control of the match as they swept through doubles. Wanda Beguelin and Christell Amsallem defeated Faith Juckabee and Carynne Lloyd 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. Reegan Greenwood and Katia Stavroulaki beat Karyn Emeralda 8-4 at No. 2 doubles while Didi Fatchikova and Mariana Ranzahuer beat Marnie Perez-Ochoa and Bolado Gema Yusta 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles, the Cougars (3-6) got their lone point at No. 5 singles as the Broncs won the rest of their singles matches. Fatchikova got things started with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Kirsa Utech at No. 1 singles. Beguelin followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles over Yusta.

Ranzahuer beat Perez-Ochoa 6-0, 6-7, 10-6 at No. 3 singles. Stavroulaki defeated Emeralda 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 singles and Greenwood closed pout the match with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles.

The Broncs are back in action on Sunday when they face off against South Dakota State University at 9 a.m.
