The Broncs (10-13) got their runs in the fourth. Down 6-0, senior Alberto Morales and sophomore PSJA alum Bryan Ramirez drew leadoff walks. After a groundout moved the runners into scoring position, senior Brandon Roush came up with a two-out single up the middle to drive in both runs.

That was it against Islanders (10-13) starter Dalton D'Spain, who struck out eight while allowing two hits and four walks in four innings.

Jacob Dorris (1-1) pitched a perfect fifth for the win.

The Broncs got back on the board in the seventh, when, with the bases loaded and one out, redshirt junior Edinburg alum Lee Rios hit a sacrifice fly that scored Roush to make it 12-3.

In the ninth, junior Jesus Garcia drew a leadoff walk and scored on a one-out single by redshirt freshman Edinburg alum Edgar Cordon. After a single by senior Dillon Engelhart, freshman Omar Avila came up with a sacrifice fly to complete the scoring.
