OREM, Utah – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's soccer team fell to the Utah Valley University Wolverines 2-0 on Sunday at Clyde Field.
 
Vaqueros (2-9-3, 0-5-0 WAC) junior goalkeeper Maria Eriksen (1-3-1, 0-2-0 WAC) stopped one of the three shots she faced while freshman Kelzy Jepsen had the Vaqueros' lone shot.
 
The Wolverines (9-4-1, 4-0-1 WAC) got on the board with under five minutes remaining in the first half on a goal by Breanna McCarter.
 
The Wolverines extended their lead with about 20 minutes left when Sheridan Fox sent a cross to the center of the box and Jamie Brown found the bottom left corner of the net.
 
The Vaqueros return home on Friday at 7 p.m. when they host Missouri-Kansas City at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex. Gates open at 6.
