EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's soccer team fell to the University of Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos 1-0 on Friday at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.

Kelsey Mothershead took a
Kara Priest pass, got ahead of the defense and found the right corner of the net with about 19 minutes remaining.
Kangaroos (9-5-1, 3-2-1 WAC) goalkeeper
Anna Lillig (2-1-0, 2-1-0 WAC) made four saves for the shutout.
The Kangaroos outshot the Vaqueros 18-9, including 10-4 on goal.
The Vaqueros are back in action on Sunday at 1 p.m. when they host Chicago State. Gates open at 12.
