Box ScorePhoto GalleryLAS VEGAS, Nev. – Down five early in the second half, the third-seeded University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's basketball team went on a 17-5 run to come from behind and beat the sixth-seeded Kansas City Kangaroos 61-50 in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament Quarterfinals on Wednesday at Orleans Arena.

Brittany Bush hit a jumper, senior
Tonisha Walker nailed a three and sophomore
Shawnte' Goff hit a layup as the Broncs (18-13) went on a 7-1 run to take a 33-32 lead.
After
Calli White hit a layup to put the 'Roos back on top, Bush hit a jumper, and then Walker followed with a jumper and a three to put the Broncs up 40-34.
Kiana Law responded with a layup, but freshman
Stephanie Onyeje buried a three to cap the run and put the Broncs up 36-43.
Bush led the Broncs with 17 points and seven rebounds. Bush also had two blocks, giving her 79 for her career. She now has the most blocks ever by anyone to player two seasons or fewer for the Broncs and the fourth most overall in program history.
Goff also scored 17 points while Walker finished with 12.
White led the 'Roos with 12 points while Law had 11 points and eight rebounds.
Bush hit three early baskets as the Broncs hit five of their first nine shots to jump out to a 14-5 lead. The Broncs led by as many as 10 at 12-2 after a pair of Bush free throws.
Over the final 13 minutes of the half, however, the 'Roos outscored the Broncs 22-12 while holding the Broncs to 2-of-20 shooting to take their first lead at 27-26.
The Broncs face second-seeded Bakersfield on Friday at 4:30 p.m. CDT in the WAC Tournament Semifinals.
