EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's soccer team closed out its exhibition schedule with scoreless draw against the University of the Incarnate Word Cardinals on Sunday at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
Junior
Leo Castillo made the lone save for the Vaqueros in the first half. Sophomore Sharyland alum
Jorge Medina played the second half in the net.
Kieran O'Boyle made two saves for the Cardinals, including one with 55 seconds left on a shot by junior Brownsville Hanna High School alum
Juanito Garcia.

Isidro Martinez attempted the Vaqueros' other shot on goal seven minutes into the second half.
Robert Pratt had the lone shot on goal for the Cardinals.
The two teams didn't play overtime because it was an exhibition.
The Vaqueros open the regular season on Friday at approximately 7 p.m. against Huston-Tillotson in the second match of a women's and men's doubleheader. Gates open at 4.
