EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley men's soccer team (1-0-1) plays its home opener against Presbyterian College (0-2-0) on Friday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
September is "Orange Out" for Hunger Action Month, and fans are encouraged to donate five non-perishable food items at this event. Donors will receive free general admission or an "Orange Out" t-shirt while supplies last. All donations will benefit the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley in an effort to fight food insecurity in our community.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a pregame concert with the Dirty Birdies starting when gates open at 6 p.m.
The first 100 fans in attendance will be entered to win UTRGV gear, among other exclusive prizes. Three raffle winners will be announced during halftime.
Fans can earn 300 points on the
V Fan Rewards mobile app by checking in upon arrival. Points are redeemable for UTRGV prizes and official Adidas gear.
