SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women's soccer team played defending Western Athletic Conference Champion Seattle U to a scoreless double overtime draw on Thursday at Championship Field.
UTRGV (7-5-3, 2-0-1 WAC) outshot Seattle U (5-7-2, 1-1-1 WAC) 11-10. Seattle U held the edge in shots on goal, 4-2, and corner kicks, 6-5.
Freshman
KK Reynoso attempted a career-high three shots, including one on goal. Senior
Frida Farstad-Eriksson also attempted a shot on goal among her two shots.
Sophomore
Kinga Szemik (2-3-2) recorded four saves for her second shutout of the season.
Mackenzie Curry (5-7-2) finished with two saves.
UTRGV is back in action on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Utah Valley.
