Men's Soccer Plays CSU Bakersfield to Double Overtime Scoreless Draw

EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's soccer team played CSU Bakersfield to a double overtime scoreless draw on Friday at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
 
UTRGV (5-5-3, 2-3-2 WAC) outshot CSU Bakersfield (5-7-1, 3-2-1 WAC) 11 to seven while posting five shots on goal compared to CSU Bakersfield's three shots on goal. 
 
Redshirt sophomore Esa Aalto record three saves while CSU Bakersfield's Detre Bell recorded five saves on the night. 
 
UTRGV will return to action on Sunday when they host San Jose State at 2 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
 
Fans will receive one free ticket to every Sunday home soccer match with the purchase of a ticket of equal or greater value, courtesy of Plaza Sports.
 
Gates open at 10 a.m. for the women's soccer match against Chicago State at 11.
