EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley women's soccer team (1-0-0) facse Sam Houston State (1-0-0) for the UTRGV Tournament Championship on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
It's the final match of the UTRGV Tournament, as CSU Bakersfield faces Prairie View A&M at 11 a.m.
Fans will receive one free ticket to every Sunday home soccer match with the purchase of a ticket of equal or greater value, courtesy of
Plaza Sports.
UTRGV will also be continuing its School Supplies Drive. Any fans donating five new, unopened school supplies items will receive a free ticket. Current UTRGV students, who already receive free admission, will receive a free concession stand item.
Acceptable donations include:
Spiral notebooks
No. 2 pencils
Crayons
Markers
3-ring binders
Scissors
Rulers
Glue sticks
All donations benefit the Rainbow Room, a resource center that provides emergency supplies to children and families served by Child Protective Services in Hidalgo County.
Gates open at 10.
