EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Oral Roberts University (ORU) on Sunday in the finale of the UTRGV Tournament at UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
 
UTRGV (1-1-0) held ORU to just one shot on goal in the first half as both teams went into halftime with no score. UTRGV put the pressure on ORU in that first half with four shots on goal. 
 
In the second half, both teams played strong defense as UTRGV held ORU to just two shots while ORU held UTRGV to four shots. 
 
One of those shots for ORU found the back of the net as Sierra Beall knocked one in from the top of the box at the 89:12 mark in the game. 
 
UTRGV outshot ORU 10-7 with six of those 10 going on goal. 
 
UTRGV will be back in action on August 24 when it faces Abilene Christian University on the road at 7 p.m.
