Maya Chitman scored her first-career goal to lead The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's soccer team past the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners 1-0 on Sunday at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.

Senior
Kinga Szemik (8-4-2) made the goal stand up by recording seven saves for her sixth shutout of the season and 16
th of her career.
The 'Runners (7-9-1, 2-4-0 WAC) outshot the Vaqueros 16-8, including 7-4 on goal.
UTRGV is on the road for its next two matches, starting Thursday at 7 p.m. at Utah Valley.
