BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team fell 1-0 to CSU Bakersfield on Sunday at Main Soccer Field. 
 
CSU Bakersfield (4-9, 3-4 WAC) got the lone goal in the match at 23:39 as Mikey Vogel took the rebound after a save of Ryan Goldsmith's shot and found the back of the net.
 
CSU Bakersfield's goalkeeper Detre Bell saved all three shots faced while UTRGV goalkeeper Andy Rios also made three saves.
 
UTRGV (8-4-1, 4-3-1 WAC) outshot CSU Bakersfield 12-6 but was outshot on goal 3-4. 
 
UTRGV will be back in action on Friday, November 1, as it kicks off its final homestand of the season against San Jose State at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex at 7 p.m. Admission is free, courtesy of Entravision, with gates opening at 6.
