RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team dropped its home finale 1-0 to (RV) Seattle University on Sunday at UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
 
After a scoreless first half, both teams remained scoreless until the 81^stminute when a UTRGV (8-5-2, 4-4-2 WAC) foul in the box gave Seattle U (12-3-3, 9-0-1 WAC) a penalty kick. James Morris converted on the penalty kick to give Seattle U the 1-0 lead. 
 
It was the only shot on goal for the Redhawks as the Vaqueros held them to just four shots overall. The Vaqueros took seven shots in the match with two shots on goal but Redhawks goal keeper Akili Kasim made the lone goal stand with a pair of saves. 
 
UTRGV will be back in action on Saturday, November 9, when it closes out the regular season at Incarnate Word at 7 p.m.
