SAN ANTONIO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer fell 2-0 to the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in the regular season finale on Saturday at Gayle and Tom Bentson Stadium. 
 
UIW (5-12, 2-9 WAC) didn't waste much time to jump out to the 1-0 as Karol Wengrzik took the pass from Darius Feldman before making a move for an open look at the net at 5:07.
 
UIW added another goal in the second half when Johnathan Diaz took the pass from Feldman and found the back of the net at 71:22.
 
UTRGV (8-6-2, 4-5-2 WAC) outshot UIW 9-5 but was outshot 4-3 on goal. 
 
Senior Andy Rios finished the match with a pair of saves while UIW Carlos Mercado kept UTRGV off the board with three saves.
