RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team battled with the RGV FC Toros but fell 4-2 on Wednesday in its second exhibition match of the spring. 
 
"It was a very similar match to the match we had with the Dynamo last week," UTRGV head coach Paul Leesesaid. "It was difficult to match the pace of play that they brought in the first half. Playing a professional team forced us to play at a faster pace. It was a tremendous experience for the guys. We will learn from what we saw out there today."
 
The Toros scored three goals in the first half and added an insurance goal in the second half. 
 
UTRGV got on the board in that second half as Martin Tellez scored a pair of goals.
 
UTRGV will be back in action on February 22 when it faces the Austin Bold FC.
