Denise De Luna is the Student Athletic Trainer of the Year.
 
"She did a tremendous job assisting us in caring for our student-athletes," UTRGV Head Athletic Trainer Alfred Castillo said. "Her great attitude and ample energy made her a pleasure to mentor. She will be graduating this May and attending Stephen F. Austin to begin work on her Master's in Athletic Training. This will provide her with the opportunity to sit for her National Athletic Trainer's Exam.  We wish her all the best."
