LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team fell 2-1 to the UNLV Rebels on Sunday at Johann Memorial Stadium after goal in the 82
nd minute.
With the match tied at 1-1, Chilo Sanchez took the pass Hayden Prasad and found the back of the net for the eventual game-winner.
The Rebels (7-10, 3-7 WAC) jumped out to the early lead in the 13
th minute. Marco Gonzalez connected with Aedon Kyra who then put it past UTRGV goalie
Oliver Padilla for the 1-0 lead.
The Vaqueros (7-8, 4-5 WAC) had chances to tie the match in the first half, but it wasn't until the second half that they were able to tie the match. In the 58

Moiad Ankir found sophomore
Martin Tellez as he scored his third goal of the season for the equalizer.
It was Tellez's second straight match with a goal.
Padilla (4-5) finished the match with one save as UNLV goalie Miguel Duenas Jr. made six saves.
The Vaqueros outshot the Rebels 12 to seven and six to three on goal.
The Vaqueros will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 6, when they travel to San Antonio to face the University of the Incarnate Word at 7 p.m. at Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium.
