IRVINE, Calif. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team played the California Baptist University (CBU) Lancers to a scoreless draw on Wednesday at Championship Soccer Stadium.
 
The Vaqueros (1-0-1, 1-0-1 WAC) were outshot by the Lancers (1-0-2, 0-0-1 WAC) 10 to 13 and 4 to 6 on goal. 
 
Junior Trevor Schneider (1-0-1) made six saves on the night, including one in the final second of regulation and another in the second overtime, to keep the match scoreless.
 
Gage Rogers made four saves for the Lancers.
 
JuniorsRenan Dos Santosand Reshaun Walkes, and senior William Akioeach had two shots on the night to lead the Vaqueros. 
 
UTRGV will be back in action on March 6 when it travels to Orem, Utah to face Utah Valley University at 2:30 p.m.
