SAN JOSE, Calif. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team, who is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll, played the San Jose State Spartans to a 1-1 draw on Saturday at Spartan Soccer Complex. 
 
The Vaqueros (3-0-2, 3-0-2 WAC) got the scoring started in the 18
thminutes as junior 
Alex Frank found junior 
Reshaun Walkes, who then hooked it around San Jose State goalie 
David Sweeney (1-1-2). It was Walkes' third goal of the season. 
 
The Spartans (1-1-2) answered with their goal in the second half. After a foul set up a free kick, 
Kameron Boldentook the shot off the post and knocked it into the goal to tie the match at 1-1 in the 57
thminute. 
 
UTRGV goalie 
Trevor Schneider (3-0-2) made six saves, including one at the end of regulation to keep the match tied. 
 
Sweeney finished with a pair of saves. 
 
Both teams finished the night with 11 shots while the Spartans outshot the Vaqueros 7 to 3 on goal. 
 
UTRGV will be back in action on March 26 when it hosts Air Force at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex at 12 p.m.
