RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's tennis team fell 0-7 to the Grand Canyon University Antelopes on Thursday at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
The Antelopes (7-7, 3-0 WAC) jumped out to the early 1-0 lead as they swept through doubles play.
In singles, freshman
Isabelle Bahr forced tiebreakers in each of her sets against Natasha Puehse at the No. 1 spot but fell 6-7, 6-7.
The Vaqueros (3-13, 1-2 WAC) fell in the rest of the singles matches as the Antelopes clinched the win.
The Vaqueros will be back in action on April 3 when they host the Tarleton Texans at 9 a.m. at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
