RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's soccer team (0-1-0) is set to host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (1-0-0), as part of the South Texas Showdown, presented by Navy Army Community Credit Union, in their home opener on Friday at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
Admission is complimentary. Gates open at 6 p.m.
This is the first South Texas Showdown, presented by Navy Army Community Credit Union, event of the season. The first 250 UTRGV students get a free meal at halftime. Transportation will be provided from Brownsville and back. Departure from Casa Bella is at 5 p.m.
