USAF, Colo. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team played to a 3-3 draw against the Air Force Falcons on Thursday at Cadet Soccer Stadium.
The Vaqueros (4-8-1, 1-4-1 WAC) wanted to come out and take control of the match early and they did just that. In the seventh minute, the Vaqueros offense put the pressure on the Falcons (0-13-2, 0-5-1 WAC) as a cross from junior

Jason Robles in front of the box as he kicked it into the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.
The score remained the same until the second half when Air Force's Federico Mion got the header into the goal against UTRGV goalkeeper
Garret Wild off a corner kick in the 55
th minute.
That woke up the Vaqueros offense as they quickly regained the lead. In the 57

Bryant Farkarlun took a shot on goal with Air Force goalkeeper Josh Spence coming up with the save but it was senior
Cesar Baltazar who found the loose ball and put it in the net to make it 2-1.
Less than a minute later, Robles took a pass on the right side from freshman
Keaviano Francis and flipped it over the defense as the ball went off the hands of Spence and into the goal to make it 3-1.
The Falcons returned the favor as they got two goals late. Noah Reznik scored a goal in the 80
th minute and then in the final minutes it was Remi Smith who a shot from the top of the box just passed the outstretched hand of Wild to tie it at 3-3.
The Vaqueros were outshot 14 to 10 but outshot the Falcons 9 to 8 on goal.
Wild finished with five saves while Spence made six saves in the match.
The Vaqueros will be back in action on Saturday when they visit Utah Valley at 7 p.m. at Clyde Field.
