WACO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Texas Regional on Saturday in Waco. 
 
UTRGV's doubles team of sophomore Santiago Serrano and freshman Eduardo Menezes closed the weekend with a solid 8-4 victory over the Texas duo of Calvin Wang/Rahul Sachdev. Redshirt junior Sam Whitehead earned his third singles victory of the weekend as he defeated Miguel Alonso from UTSA, 6-4, 6-3. 
 
UTRGV will be back in action Oct. 25-27 at the first Southland Conference Fall Championship in Hammond, Louisiana.
