RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's soccer team (2-3-2, 0-0-0 WAC) opens Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play when they host the Grand Canyon University Lopes (3-4-2, 0-0-0 WAC) on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.

Sunday will be a doubleheader as the women's team plays at 11 a.m. against Stephen F. Austin. Fans will have an opportunity to meet members of the UTRGV football team, get autographs, and tailgate during the doubleheader as part of Football at Fútbol.

Tailgating runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with parking available both in front of the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex and at the Region One Education Service Center next door. There will be several food trucks on-site, televisions that fans can use to watch NFL games, inflatables and interactive areas, and music.

Fans will be able to get autographs from players that are part of the UTRGV football offense from 12-to-1 p.m. and from players that are part of the defense from 2-to-3 p.m. Players will be split up by position at tables around the complex and tailgating area. UTRGV Athletics will be providing UTRGV football posters that can be autographed while supplies last.
 
Additionally, the UTRGV bookstore will be selling merchandise on-site from 1-to-3 p.m. Fans can purchase gear to be autographed as well. UTRGV football student-athletes and coaches will be introduced on the soccer field in-between matches at approximately 1 p.m. The UTRGV marching band and spirit squads will be in attendance and perform as well.
