RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team begins an eight-game homestand Saturday with the home opener at 2 p.m. against the Arlington Baptist Patriots at the UTRGV Fieldhouse. 

This will be the first contest between UTRGV (1-3, 0-0 Southland Conference) and Arlington Baptist (0-2). The Vaqueros played their first four games on the road and are excited to play in front of the home crowd. Last season, UTRGV averaged 1,224 fans per game and drew 17,129 total fans. 

Tickets can be purchased at UTRGVTickets.com. Fans unable to attend the game can watch domestically on ESPN+ and internationally on Southland International. All fans must follow the clear bag and photo policies, among others, in place for the UTRGV Fieldhouse. More information can be found here.
