SAN MARCOS – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's tennis team is ready up for Texas State's River State Shoot-Out which will run on Saturday and Sunday.
 
UTRGV will compete against individuals from the hosts, Texas State, as well as fellow Southland Conference teams Incarnate Word, Northwestern State, and Stephen F. Austin.

The Vaqueros are sending sophomore Mariia Bakhtina, sophomore Luna Buijtenhuijs, and seniors Barbara Martinez and Valentina Urraco to the tournament.
 
In doubles, Bakhtina and Buijtenhuijs will play in Flight 3 while Martinez and Urraco will compete in Flight 4.
 
In singles action, Bakhtina is lined up in Flight 5 while Buijtenhuijs is slated to compete in Flight 6 and Martinez and Urraco are slotted in Flight 7/8.
Both singles and doubles play will follow a round-robin format.
