RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that redshirt senior Eddie Lee Marburger, of the football team, is the Killers Golf UTRGV Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Marburger, a Sharyland Pioneer alum, shined in UTRGV's 66-0 victory over Sul Ross State on Saturday.
 
After throwing an incomplete pass on his first attempt, he successfully completed his final 18 passes while finishing with a career-high five touchdowns and a career-high 365 passing yards in just one half of play. Marburger helped the Vaqueros build a 49-0 lead over the Lobos at halftime.
 
After Marburger's stunning performance, he currently leads all of Football Championship Subdivision in QB rating (342.9), passing touchdowns (5), completion percentage (.947), and yards per pass attempt (19.21).
