On court six, Bonaguro completed his 2:13 marathon which started with a dominant 6-2 first set win. In the second,
Valentin Vazquez bounced back, claiming a back-and-forth second set 7-5, to set up the deciding third set. Bonaguro jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in the third and never let Vazquez get within two games, winning 6-3, and sealing the match for UTRGV.
