RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Wednesday the extension of a partnership with QualityTents to provide turnkey tailgating options for fans with spots in the H-E-B Tailgate Zone at UTRGV football home games.
Additionally, UTRGV is extending tailgating time to seven hours prior to kickoff, up from five previously. Fans bringing their own grills will now be able to use charcoal grills as well, provided they dispose of their coals properly in designated containers.
A limited number of spots in the H-E-B Tailgate Zone and North and South Tailgate lots are available. Fans interested in purchasing tailgate spots can contact assistant athletic director for ticket sales and operations

Like last year, fans in the H-E-B Tailgate Zone will have the ability to enhance their tailgate experience with grills, coolers, and entertainment packages for an additional cost, all set up for them by QualityTents with no hassle. Packages are available at

QualityTents is also serving as the sole provider of any tailgate tent needs for corporate sponsors in the Corporate Tailgate Zone as well as any tenting and turnkey tailgate needs for tailgaters with spots in the North & South Tailgate Lots.
Tailgate purchasers have already received an email regarding available turnkey packages from QualityTents, which will be on site on game day to provide customer service and support while handling all setup and breakdown of their equipment.
Tailgate lot spaces measure 20x20 and are available starting at $400 each for the season. These spaces allow fans to create their own traditions and tailgate experience on college football Saturdays in the Valley
Additional spaces remain available for tailgating in the H-E-B Tailgate Zone with a variety of turnkey packages. Tailgaters can choose from packages that include a 6-foot table and five folding chairs in addition to tents that are 10x10 ($1,400), 10x20 ($1,750), and 20x20 ($3,350). Fans can enhance their tailgate experience with entertainment packages and various add-ons at additional costs.
The H-E-B Tailgate Zone also includes existing pavilions available for purchase for tailgating. Pavilions are $1,075, pavilions with water and electricity are $1,425, and larger-sized pavilions are $2,150.
