Football Set to Return to Radio Throughout the Valley and Laredo

All Games to be Carried on ESPN+

RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Thursday that, for the second year in a row, all UTRGV football games will be broadcast in English on Ultra 90.1 FM in the Rio Grande Valley and Pure Country 95.7 FM in Laredo while all home games will be broadcast in Spanish throughout the Rio Grande Valley and northern Mexico on KYWW 1530 AM Puro Tejano and KGBT-FM 98.5 La Preferida as part of the Vaqueros Sports Network.
 
Additionally, all games will be available to watch on ESPN+.
 
English Radio
 
The broadcasts on Ultra 90.1 FM and Pure Country 95.7 FM are part of a continuation of a partnership with Radio United. Pregame coverage begins 30 minutes prior to scheduled kickoff.
 
All broadcasts will also be available online through the Radio Para Mi App in the UTRGV Vaqueros section.
 
Ultra 90.1 FM (XHRYS) is a 100,000-watt adult contemporary station that mainly caters to those in the 25-to-54 age range. The station has a coverage map that blankets the Rio Grande Valley in three counties, extending as far west as La Grulla, as far east as Brownsville and South Padre Island, north of Raymondville and Linn, getting as far north as Rudolph, and as far south as San Fernando, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
 
Pure Country 95.7 FM (XHBK) is a powerful station that plays country currents, recent and gold, also catering to those in the 25-to-54 age range. The station has a coverage map that not only covers Laredo and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, but also extends as far south as San Ygnacio, as far east as Mirando City, as far west as La Bota, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and north of Bonanza Hills.
 
Joe Bowling (play-by-play) and Jonathan Medina (color commentary) return for their second season as the English radio announcers.
 
Spanish Radio
 
The broadcasts on KYWW 1530 AM Puro Tejano and KGBT-FM 98.5 La Preferida are part of a continuation of a partnership with Latino Media Network. Coverage begins at scheduled kickoff time.
 
All broadcasts will also be available online through the Uforia: Radio, Podcast, Music app by searching for KYWW, Puro Tejano 1530 AM.

ESPN+

All UTRGV home games and Southland Conference football games can be found on ESPN+. Additionally, UTRGV's two non-conference road games are both set to be broadcast on ESPN+.
