RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's soccer team (0-2-0) plays at home for the second time this season as they face the Prairie View A&M Panthers (0-1-0) on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.

UTRGV fell to Texas State (1-0-1) on the road 4-1, at Bobcat Soccer Complex, Sunday, Aug. 16.
 
Junior Isabella Burtini scored in the 72^nd minute, the first goal of the season for UTRGV. Freshman Anuhea Aalona recorded her first colligate assist to help set up Burtini in San Marcos.
 
Prairie View A&M – August 20, 6:30 p.m. - UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex – Edinburg, Texas
 
The Vaqueros will host the Prairie View A&M (PVAM) Panthers Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
 
UTRGV is (6-0-1) all-time against the PVAM, but won the most recent matchup, a 3-0 victory in Prairie View last season. This will be the first time that UTRGV hosts PVAM since its 4-0 win in 2024.

All matches held at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field complex will be free and open to the public. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
