2011-12 Season • Senior
Scored in double-figures in eight of 26 games played ... recorded her second double-double of the season against Chicago State (3/8/12) with 11 points and 12 rebounds ... scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds against North Dakota (2/23/12) ... scored 14 points against Chicago State (2/18/12) on seven-of-13 shooting and also grabbed nine rebounds with two assists ... went six-of-nine from the floor against Utah Valley (2/2/12) for 14 points and one block ... was a perfect seven-of-seven from the floor against Huston-Tilloston (12/14/11) for 15 points and nine rebounds ... scored a season-high 16 points and tied a season-high 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season against Sam Houston State (12/1/11) ... went seven-of-14 from the floor against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds with two blocks ... recorded a season-high five blocks, scored seven points and grabbed nine rebounds against Texas State (11/18/11). 

2010-11 Season • Junior
Opara appeared in 29 games, earning 24 starts on the year. She finished the year first on the team in blocks (23), second in rebounds (187), and second in FG percentage (.492). For the year, she average 7.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per a game. One of her more impressive showings came in just the second game of the year when she recorded her first career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in a 70-62 win over Texas Southern University.

San Jacinto College
Opara played in 29 games as a sophomore at San Jacinto College shooting an impressive 50 percent from the field while averaging 11 points per game. In addition, she ranked first in Region XIV with 11.1 rebounds per game and second in Region XIV with 2.7 blocks per game. She was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIV All Conference Honorable Mention Team.

Alief Taylor High School
Opara earned three letters for basketball at Alief Taylor High School. She received 2nd Team All District honors for her senior season after averaging 12.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game.

Off the Hardwood
Opara is the daughter of David and Chizo Opara….has one brother –Ugo and two sisters – Chiaka and Chinyere…majoring in Occupational Therapy.
