Earned USTFCCCA Division I All-Academic Cross Country status (2/25) ... Competed in five meets ... finished in ninth place at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship after posting a time of 21:15.5 ... won her second Great West Conference Championship and was named Runner of the Year after posting a time 17:53 in the 5K ... went to the Chilli Pepper Festival and finished in 20th place with a time of 21:50.9 ... finished in first place at the Islander Splash after finishing with a time of 18:02 which earned her GWC Runner of the Week ... opened the season with a second place finish at the UTSA Ricardo Romo Classic with a time of 18:22. 

2011 Season · Junior
Competed in four meets ... placed first at the Great West Conference Championship with a time of 17:47.26 ... posted a time of 21:34.5 at the Chilli Pepper Cross Country Festival for a 36th place finish ... finished the Islander Splash in fourth place with  a time of 18:44 ...  placed third at the UTSA Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta Texas Classic with a time of 18:05.3. 

2010 Season • Sophomore
Chumba was one of the best cross country runners for UTPA in the 2010 season ... was the top finished for the Broncs at the NCAA South Central Regional meet running a time of 21:30.7, which placed her in 33rd … came in third at the Great West Conference Cross Country Championship hosted by UTPA (17:00.48) ... finished 19th at the Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta Texas Classic running the race in 18:49.5 ... came in fourth at the Islander Splash with a time of (18:03).

2009 Season • Freshman
Competed in five meets ... finished in 64th place at the NCAA South Regional Championship with a time of 23:15.3 ... at the Great West Conference Championship, finished in 12th place with a time of 23:47.61 ... finished in third place at the HBU/Puma Invitational with a time of 15:54.3 ... posted a time of 18:53.7 at the Islander Splash ... ran a time of 19:37 at the Brazos Valley Open for a 14th place finish.

Chumba earned certificates in the 100 and 200-meter run … member of the music, environmental and science clubs.
