2013 (Senior): Shared Great West Conference Pitcher of the Week honors with entire staff (4/17) … Allowed just an unearned run on four hits and two walks in five innings while striking out four to win start against Chicago State (4/13) … In first start of season, struck out a career-high seven batters while pitching a season-high five scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and one walk at NYIT (4/7) … Struck out two in a perfect inning at TCU (4/3) … Worked out of bases loaded no one out jam with allowing a run to earn win against Arlington Baptist (3/23) … Struck out two while recording final two outs of eighth to escape a second and third one-out jam with the lead intact at Wichita State (3/8) … Struck out one in perfect inning of relief at Texas (3/5) … Pitched an inning and a third of scoreless relief in season debut at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2/17).
Summer 2012 (Prospect League): Played for the Slippery Rock Sliders in a collegiate wooden bat league … Earned Pitcher of the Week award for the period ending June 11 after going 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA, striking out 14 in 12 innings over the course of two starts … Overall, went 3-5 with a 6.15 ERA in 10 games (all starts) … Struck out 36 while walking 21 in 52.2 innings.
2012 (Junior): Pitched three scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits vs. Houston Baptist (5/18) … Made first start of the season, pitching six scoreless innings before allowing four runs while recording two outs in the seventh vs. Northern Colorado (5/13) … Recorded first win of season with season-high five innings of relief in which he struck out season-high four at Chicago State (4/28) … Struck out two in two scoreless innings vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/20).
2011 (Sophomore): Recorded first win of the season against NJIT (4/16), where he pitched seven innings, allowing one unearned run on six hits while striking out three ... Pitched eight innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and striking out a season-high five batters at TCU (4/5) ... Ranked third on team in innings pitched (50.2).
2010 (Freshman): Made first eight appearances out of bullpen before starting seven games down the stretch … Tied for the most wins on the team (4) ... Ranked second in innings pitched (64) and pick-offs (3).
2006-09 (Zapata High School): Four-year letterman in baseball … named to the All-State Academic Team … batted .480 and accumulated a 0.91 ERA … Won district, area and bi-district championships … played on the Summer Big League Texas West team and hit .380 while posting a 1.03 ERA.
