2015 (Junior): Indoor – Competed in four meets … posted an 11^th place finish in the weight throw at the Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championships with a throw of 12.46 meters … finished in 19^th place in the weight throw at the Houston Tune Up with a throw of 13.94 meters … posted an 11^th place finish in the weight throw at the Masked Rider Open with a throw of 15.04 meters … finished in 13^th place in the weight throw at the Texas A&M 13-Team Invitational with a throw of 12.96 meters.

Outdoor – Competed in seven meets … finished in 10^th place in the hammer throw at the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships after a throw of 42.51 meters … finished in 30^th place in the hammer throw at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight after a throw of 39.74 meters … posted a 10^th place finish in the hammer throw at the Islander Dash after hitting a mark of 31.75 meters … finished in 16^th place in the hammer throw at the Victor Lopez Classic after a throw of 34.19 meters … posted an eighth place finish in the hammer throw at the Cactus Cup after hitting a mark of 42.42 meters … posted a third place finish in the hammer throw at the Islander Open after a throw of 38.96 meters.

2014 (Sophomore): Indoor – Did not compete during the indoor season.
 
Outdoor – Competed in two events ... finished in 19^th place in the hammer throw with a throw of 30.36 meters and 24^th in the shot put with a throw of 9.54 meters at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight … posted an eighth place finish in the shot put at the Islanders Dash with a throw of 11.08 meters while also posting a sixth place finish in the hammer throw with a throw of 32.74 meters.

2013 (Southern Nazarene): played football for the Crimson Storm. 
 
2009-12 (Mercedes High School): Earned two letters in football ... named to the all-district second team ... earned an academic all-state honorable mention ... gradruated with National Honor Society Honors ... was part of the first graduating class from Mercedes Early College Academy. 

Off the Track: Son of Grady and Juana Young ... has two brothers, Shannan and Steven, and one sister Ann.
