Prep Golf: Member of the Jim McClean Junior Golf Academy, which is one of the most prestigious golf academies in the country ... Sanchez has competed in several tournaments throughout his junior golf career with his best showing coming at the 2015 AJGA Junior at Owensboro where he finished in second after shooting a three-round score of 207 with rounds of 71, 71 and 65 ... finished tied for 39^th in Sectional Qualifying for the U.S. Amateur Championship at Club Campestre in Mexico City. 

Chip Shot: Son of Rene Sanchez Pillot and Marisol Castillo ... has one sister, Lucia ... majoring in kinesiology.
