2009 Season [Junior]
Vest competed in 54 contests for the Broncs as he split his time between the in- and outfield...hit .286 for the season...drove in 33 runs while plating 192 appearances...collected 27 runs, 55 hits, and 11 doubles...picked up his lone stolen base of his career against SFA (3/1)...drove in three batters on a 2-for-4 plate appearance, along with scoring a run and collecting a double against A&M-Corpus Christi (3/10)...posted his lone homerun of the season against Prairie View A&M (3/21) on a 1-for-2 plate appearance, while driving in one run and scoring two runs...finished 2-for-3 with one run and an RBI against SFA (4/15) in game one of a doubleheader...finished 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs against Northern Colorado (5/11)...finished a perfect 3-for-3 against Northern Colorado in game two of the doubleheader, along with driving in two batters and scoring a run...tied his career-high of six at-bats against Northern Colorado (5/12) with five hits, a career-high four RBI, tied his career-high two doubles and three runs...at the National Independent Tournament, Vest finished 3-for-5 with one RBI and scored three runs against Houston Baptist (5/21)...posted a .954 fielding percentage.

2008 Season [Sophomore]
After taking a season off, Vest came back to hit .280 while competing in 44 contests...earned a starting spot on the lineup on 37 occasions...drove in 25 runs while plating 150 appearances...collected 22 hits, 42 hits, seven doubles and one homerun...posted a .347 slugging percentage, a .329 on-base percentage and a .929 fielding percentage...Vest made his Bronc debut against St. Louis (Mar. 8)...recorded a career-high six at-bats on three occasions...hit his lone homerun against Texas Southern (Apr. 13)...finished 3-for-6 with three runs against Texas Southern (Apr. 12).

[2005-07 Season] Richland Junior College
Vest finished with a .343 conference batting average where he drove in 30 RBI, to go along with 11 doubles, eight stolen bases, and a .515 on-base percentage... led the Thunderducks to a 39-19 overall record... comes from a junior college program that has made eight NJCAA World Series appearances since 1995 and were National Champions in 2002, 2003, and 2004. Vest red-shirted the 2007 season.

La Porte High School
Vest was a standout athlete at La Porte High School...earned two letters in basketball and three in baseball...played basketball with Zach and Jacob Trader who are members of the UTPA men[apos]s basketball team... earned Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore in basketball... collected all-district honors as a senior in baseball... finished his senior campaign with a .354 batting average where he collected 10 doubles, 20 RBI, and six stolen bases... led his team to a district 23-5A championship and state regional semifinalist... was part of a team that was a state regional semifinalist... was a member of the National Honor Society... graduated with a 3.25 grade point average.

Vest is the son of Robin and Lea Vest...has one brother - Garrett...has one sister - Anna...cousin - Matt Leva pitched for Stanford...uncle - Tommy Petigrew was catcher for Wake Forest...cousin - Clint Vest is an infielder for Texas State...born on February 4, 1987...majoring in History.
