2004 (Junior Season): Broyles was nationally ranked 29th in saves when he recorded nine saves last season... was one of two UTPA baseball players to be named to the All-Independent first team... played and started in 49 contests last season and batted a .208 average... collected 23 hits on the season, including six doubles, and 19 RBI... posted a 5.11 ERA while making 13 appearances on the mound... recorded eight steals in nine attempts on the season.

Northeast Texas Community College: Broyles was a two-year starter at NTCC... batted a .316 with 17 doubles, three triples, one home run and 24 RBI during his two-year career... on the mound, he was 2-1 with 14 saves and 67 strikeouts in two seasons.

Spring Hill High School: Broyles was named East Texas Pitcher of the Year... was cited as an All-State performer in both 2000 and 2001... twice named district Most Valuable Player... chosen for the Texas High School Baseball Coaches' All-Star Game as a senior... named District Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore... batted .348, with 15 doubles, two home runs, 57 RBI, 97 runs, and scored in 81 varsity games during his three-year career... was 25-3 in his school career as a pitcher... posted a 1.69 ERA... walked 56 while striking out 248 in 178 innings pitched... went 13-0 on the mound as a senior.

Personal: Broyles is the son of Paul and Tammy Broyles... born Dec. 26 1982... has one brother, Bryson... major in kinesiology at UTPA.
