2006 (Junior Season): Guajardo appeared in eight games dor the Broncs during his junior season where he compiled a 9.53 earned run average... pitch 2.0 innings against nationally-ranked University of Texas (Feb. 8) where he struck out one hitter and allowed one hit while failing to surrender a run... was selected to the UTPA Alethic Director's Honor Roll for the first time in his career... recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average during the fall semester en route to earning Dean's List First Honors... was a Dean's List Second Honors recipient following the spring semester... selected to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during both fall and spring semesters.

2004 (Sophomore Season): During his sophomore season for the Broncs, Gaujardo appeared in three games where he hurled 5.1 innings of action... cited as a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member during the spring semester where he earned Dean's List Second Honors.

2003 (University of Texas-Brownsville): Guajardo was a member of the University of Texas-Brownsville program during his freshman season.

La Hoya High School: Guajardo was a four-year letterman for La Hoya High School where he earned All-Stats honors during his senior campaign... finished with a 14-3 record and 0.96 earned run average during his final season for the Coyotes.

Off The Diamond: Guajardo is the son of Jose and Maria Guajardo... born on October 17, 1983... has two brothers - Vicente and Juan - and two sisters - Hilda and Esmeralda.. graduated in August 2006 with a bachelors degree... currently working on a masters degree in education... married to the former Roxanne Flores and has son - Alex, Jr. (2).
