2008 Season [Junior]
In his third season with the Broncs, Spears notched a 311 batting average in 35 games played...started in 28 games with one start as the designated hitter... drove in 13 runs while plating 90 appearances... collected 18 runs, 28 hits and eight doubles... hit three bombs in 35 games played...posted a .500 slugging percentage, a .438 on-base percentage and .975 fielding percentage... hit one of three home runs against Sam Houston at the Hillcrest Ford Bearkat Classic...plated five at-bats on two occasions...tied his career-high of two runs-batted-in against UTSA (Mar. 18).
2007 [Sophomore Season]
As a sophomore, Spears recorded a .143 batting average where he collected six hits while driving in six runs in 21 games... recorded a .308 on-base percentage and a .238 slugging percentage... accumulated a 1.000 fielding percentage in 41 chances during his sophomore season... collected one hit, one RBI, and one home run against nationally- ranked Texas (Apr. 24). recorded one hit, three runs scored, and one stolen base against Prairie View A&M (Apr. 15).
2006 [Freshman Season]
In his first season with the Broncs, Spears posted a .138 batting average where he collected four hits while driving in four runs... collected two hits and one RBI versus TCU (Feb. 18)... recorded one hit, two RBI and one run scored against Stephen F. Austin (Feb. 17)... accumulated a .969 fielding percentage where he posted only two miscues in 60 total chances... cited as a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member during the spring semester for the first time in his career.
Bowie High School
Spears was a three-time all-district performer at Bowie High School where he batted .300 or higher in each of those three seasons... cited as an Academic All-District selection following his senior campaign... guided Bowie High School to consecutive state playoff appearances.

Spears is the son of Damon and Kelly Spears... born on August 20, 1986... has one sister - Amy... majoring in business.
