2005-06 (University of Texas at San Antonio): A two-year member of The University at Texas San Antonio baseball program, Guzman was an outstanding  student where he achieved Dean's List recognition during both his freshman and sophomore seasons... received a medical redshirt during his first season with the program... participated in the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita, KS... led the series with a .500 batting average  after collecting 11 hits in 22 at-bats and one home run, seven RBI and four scored to go along with a .636 slugging percentage and .458 on-base percentage during the World Series.

Richard King High School: Guzaman posted a .454 batting average with six home runs, 12 doubles, and three triples to along with 39 RBI during his senior season with Richard King High School... selected as a first team All-State, All-District, All-Metro, and All-Bay Area award recipient during his final campaign... ranked 49th overall out of the Texas Top 100 according to Texas Baseball News...  garnered first team All-State, All-District, All-Metro and All-Bay Area awards during his junior campaign... concluded his career at Richard King High School with a .501 batting average to go along with 18 home runs and 112 RBI.

Off The Diamond: Guzman is the son of Ernest and Melissa Guzman... born on September 2, 1985... has one sister - Sarah... majoring in accounting.
