Josh Fosdick

Josh Fosdick joined UTPA as men’s golf head coach on August 15, 2012.

The Broncs got off to a strong start in 2012-13, with top five finishes in each of the first three events. The Broncs finished strong as well, coming in second and finishing just one stroke off the lead at the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship. Senior Kevin Kirakossian won the individual medal with a career-best four-under 212, including a career-best five-under 67 in the second round. Kirakossian finished in the top 20 seven times in 11 events during the season.

Fosdick spent the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons as assistant coach of the men’s and women’s golf programs at Oklahoma State University.

In his first season with the program, Fosdick assisted with a men's program that produced three All-Americans and finished the season as the top-ranked squad in the country. On the women's side, he helped the Cowgirls to a top-10 finish at the NCAA Championship and coached national player of the year and NCAA champion Caroline Hedwall.
 
Fosdick came to OSU after spending the previous two years as head coach of the boys' program at Edmond (Okla.) Memorial High School. In his two seasons, the Bulldogs finished in the top 10 in eight of their nine tournaments and posted top-10 finishes each year at the Class 6A State Tournament. In 2008, he was named the Region 8 Coach of the Year.

Off the course, both of his squads were honored with academic achievement awards for overall grade point average.

A 1997 graduate of Northwestern State University, Fosdick was a three-year letter winner for the Demons. He also served as the team captain as a senior. Fosdick continued his education at Oklahoma State where he completed graduate level work in organic chemistry.

Fosdick served as an assistant golf professional at three different golf courses before embarking upon a professional playing career in 2003. The Casper, Wyo., native competed on the NGA Hooters Tour for two seasons, posting several top-10 finishes during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

Fosdick and his wife, Stephanie, have three children, Adison, 11, Olivia, 6, and Isaac, 1.
