Slaughter's Finesse on and around the greens will make him a key to the success of the Broncs this season... One of the players that will be counted on for the leadership this season... Coming off a strong sophomore campaign in which he finished fourth on the team in stroke average and was the team leader in stroke average during the spring semester. 

1999-00 (Sophomore):
Had the fourth best stroke average on the team, an average of 79.0... His 77.7 stroke average during the spring semester was the lowest on the team... His low round of 71 was the second best on the team and was just one stroke off his career best... Started out slow, but came on strong at the end of the fall and carried that over the spring... Shot his best score for 54 holes at the Moe O'Brien Memorial Invitational with a 223 (71-75-77)... His first round 71 was his low round of the season... Finished the season with a strong showing at the Arkansas-Little Rock Copy Systems Intercollegiate with a 236, including a first round 71, tying this season at the Udamon Southwest Classic with a 227, good for first on the team and 34th overall (2/22)... Tied for 40th overall at the UTPA Golf Classic with a 230, including a 74 second round (11/9)... Was third on the team at the Lamar Invitational with a three-round total of 240 (10/5)...

1998-99 (Freshman): 
Played in 21 rounds, averaging 78.9 strokes... Slaughter fired an opening round 70 at his first collegiate tournament, finishing 10th place at the Mary Hardin Baylor Invite. (9/29)... Finished fifth at the National Minority Championship with a 228 (5/6).

Personal:
Stephen is the son of Steve and Brenda Slaughter... Slaughter was voted to first Team All District at Keller High School... Majoring in Marketing.
