Anderson has made a large impact on the play of the point guards, helping to transition WAC Player of the Year Shawnte' Goff from small forward to point guard in 2015-16, and developing T'Ondria Nolen into one of the top point guards in the WAC, as she led the conference and ranked 37th in the NCAA in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.08) while dishing out 131 assists, the third-highest single-season total in program history, in 2014-15.

Under his guidance, Goff finished her career ranked second in program history in assists with 336. Anderson has also successfully helped Bernesha Peters transition from shooting guard to point guard in 2016-17.

Prior to UTRGV, Anderson helped the Lamar State College – Port Arthur to a 20-11 record, including a 10-9 mark in conference play, in 2012-13.
