As the lone senior on the squad, Garcia will be expected to shoulder leadership responsibilities this season... The most experienced player on the squad as well with three years on the team... Has 20 combined wins while a member of the Lady Bronc tennis team.

1999-00 (Junior): 
Won her first match of the season against Brownyn Swanepoel of Louisiana-Hammond, a 6-1, 6-2, decision (3/12)... Helped the Lady Broncs to their first win of the season with a 6-2, 6-1, win over Lisa Forrest of Alcorn State at number two singles (3/16)... Also teamed with Marica Fernandez to pick up an 8-1 win over Forrest and Hrda at number one doubles against Alcorn State... Dropped a tough 3-6, 7-6, 10-8, decision against Melissa Cucciniello of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2/25)... Fell in similar fashion against Sarah Everett of Centenary, a tough 6-7, 6-3, 6-2, loss (4-8)... Teamed with Fernandez to post a 6-9 record in doubles at number one... Finished the season strong in doubles, posting three wins in their last four matches, including a tough 9-7 decision over Everett and Yearwood of Centenary (4-8)... Picked up their first win of the season against Gamarnik and Langlois of Sam Houston by 8-6 count (2-11)... Followed that up with a tough 8-6 decision over Cagle and Osborn of Stephen F. Austin the following day (2/12).

1998-99 (Sophomore):
Showed improvement over her freshman year, playing at number three singles and number one doubles... Had a 3-7 record at numbers three singles... Teamed with Maria Fernandez at number one doubles... Won a tough 7-6, 6-3, decision over Lianna Martinez of Incarnate World (10/16)... Rolled past Katie Domangue of Southern Louisiana in back-to-back matches, 6-0, 6-0, helping the Lady Broncs to their first two wins of the season (3/17)... Defeated Emma Towler of Southwest Texas State, 6-3, 6-3 (10/2)... Came up big twice with Fernandez in doubles as the pair won their only two tiebreaker matches of the season... The pair defeated Amanda Tabisz and Meredith Watson of Stephen F. Austin State, 9-7 (3/15)... Also won an exciting 9-7 decision against Jo Keene and Danielle Blanco of McNeese State (4/1).

1997-98 (Freshman):
Played number three singles for the Lady Broncs in her first season with UTPA... Won her first collegiate match, 6-2, 6-3, over Lana Ereckson of Sam Houston State (2/21)... Defeated Vicki Hannasch of Schreiner, 6-2, 6-4 (3/14)... Won a tough 7-6, 6-2, decision against Crystal Clark of Sun Belt Conference foe, Lousiana Tech (4/3)... The win helped UTPA to a 5-2 win over the Lady Techsters... Lost a tough 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, decision in her only three-set match of the season against Rachael Dunlap of Western Kentucky (4/16)... Played with Karen Bowley at number one doubles, posting a 2-6 record... The record is deceiving, however, as the pair lost four matches by just two games... They teamed to defeat Suzi Friedman and Sarah Osborn of Stephen F. Austin by an 8-6 count (2/11).
