As a Freshman in 2003 - Marcengo capped off her rookie campaign with one of the greatest freshman seasons in UTPA history. She was named the Independent Libero of the Year and earned second team All-Independent team honors. She was the only freshman to be named to the All-Independent all-star teams. Marcengo recorded a UTPA single-season school record in digs with 641, which was fourth among all NCAA Division I players. Her 5.09 digs per game ranked her eighth in the nation. After one season, she is eighth on UTPA[apos]s all-time digs category. The first time letterwinner recorded a season-high 41 digs against IPFW (Oct.12). That was the second highest single-game record for digs. She added 39 digs against Lehigh (Aug. 30) and 35 digs versus Dillard (Sept. 20). Marcengo had 18 matches of 20 or more digs throughout the season, including a stretch of 12 straight matches with at least 20 digs. The UTPA freshman had 29 matches of 10 or more digs. She holds three of the top four highest single-game records for digs. Marcengo was only one of two players on the squad to play in all 126 games during the 2003 season. It was the second most games ever played by a single player in program history.

High School - Marcengo was named the SPEI High School Athlete of the Year in 1999.

Off the Court The daughter of Helio and Lourdes Mincoff-Marcengo, she was born on Jan. 18, 1984. She has two sisters, Thiago and Viviane. Marcengo is majoring in kinesiology.
