Joseph Kirk

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on May 6, 2024 the hiring of Joseph Kirk, who played four seasons of collegiate golf at Cameron University, as the men’s and women’s golf assistant coach. 
  
Kirk, originally from Lexington, Kentucky, played in 35 career tournaments at Cameron, where he helped the program to back-to-back appearances at the NCAA Division 2 West/South Central Regional Championship in 2022 and 2023. Kirk finished his career (2019-23) with the program record for the lowest single round score (65) and finished seventh in program history in birdies made (250). 
   
Prior to joining Cameron, Kirk was a member of the men’s golf program at Midland College, where he helped his team to conference and regional championships and a third place finish at the national championship. 
 
Kirk has competed professionally, making three appearances on the All Pro Tour, and has worked as an assistant golf professional at Brownwood Country Club.
 
Kirk graduated from Cameron in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
