Ramsey Amador joined UTRGV Athletics on July 21, 2025 as a student athlete academic advisor. He currently serves as the student-athlete advisor for the football program. Amador, a former student-athlete, started his collegiate baseball career with UTRGV as a member of the baseball team in 2020.

The Edinburg native then transferred to Texas A&M-Kingsville where he finished his career with a .278 average across 142 games in three seasons with the Javelinas. Amador had a career-high .345 average in 2024. Amador also represented the baseball team in the Texas A&M-Kingsville Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

While at Texas A&M-Kingsville, Amador spent time as a private baseball trainer at the Cage Rage Facility and spent time as a camp coach for kids camps held by the Corpus Christi Hooks. Amador also spent time as an audit intern for King Ranch Inc.

Amador earned his Master of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Texas A&M-Kingsville.
